Established in 2013 by director Brendan Gray, Edge Interiors started as a team of three and a single truck, initially operating as building contractors for Auckland’s leading commercial interior design and construction firms. While small, the team held a wealth of commercial experience and quickly identified an opportunity in the market for an improved offering. Brendan envisioned a solution that would provide clients a more competitive, efficient, and cost-effective service by combining design and direct construction into a seamless design/build approach, effectively removing the need for additional margins to the end user.

Edge Interiors is now a vibrant team of twenty-two staff, including six senior designers, seven senior project managers and three quantity surveyors – with each boasting between 10- and 40-years' experience. We are a creative, ambitious and dynamic team, applying our combined commercial knowledge and design expertise to deliver the best results possible for our clients – on time and on budget.

Brendan Gray
Owner / Managing Director

Brendan has been in the fit-out industry for over 25 years. Before starting Edge Interiors in 2013, he held the position of head project manager for other companies and spent time in the trade industry, excelling in both customer service and sales roles. Today, Brendan is a specialist in design and construction for the medical industry. He is laid back, friendly, and loves to fish when he’s off the clock.

Kenneth Baer
Head of Sales

Ken has over ten years in the commercial fit-out business. He’s enjoyed success in sales and client relations, looking after his clients’ interests and effectively communicating their needs and aspirations to the teams that realise them. Ken builds strong relationships between his clients and the Edge Interiors teams, which is a major reason why so many clients come back to us for repeat work.

Ursula Warner
Head of Projects

Ursula has spent over ten years working in the building and construction industry, in both residential and commercial. She oversees the success of all projects, looking after cost management, tendering, budgeting, and client relations, ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget to keep our loyal clients very happy. Ursula is bubbly, fun, loyal and dependable—and particularly fond of gin.

Jasmine Manson
Business Development Manager

Jasmine brings over twelve years of proven industry experience to the team, with a background in account management in the architectural/design industry, strengthen by several years in an executive support role at New Zealand's largest full service commercial real estate firm. Proactive and passionate, Jasmine is driven by her natural rapport to build strong, genuine relationships. Outside of work, she loves to travel, be artsy and creative, and is forever socialising.

Senior Designer

Anel boasts over two decades of experience in the design field. During her 15 years in New Zealand, she has expanded on her vast knowledge of design, working on commercial office, retail, exhibition, cosmetics, and medical projects. She has also worked on major projects, spearheading the design for Datacom’s 12,000 sqm head office in Auckland.

Senior Designer

Chilean architect with more than nine years of overseas experience in the field of commercial interior design projects, specializing in workplace design. Possessing a comprehensive understanding of design principles, construction methodologies, and industry best practices. Proven ability to deliver creative and functional design solutions that meet client needs and expectations. Outside of work, Paloma finds joy in staying active, cherishing moments with friends, and seeking out the beauty of New Zealand.

Senior Designer

Sarah is a versatile and talented interior designer with twenty years’ experience. With an extensive portfolio of projects across workplace, hospitality, education, and predominately retail design. Sarah has worked on many award-winning projects in the retail sector at Best Awards and Red Awards, with a keen eye for detail and flair for creative design. When she’s not designing, she’s busy parenting two fun boys sharing the love of the outdoors, biking, beaching and BBQ’s.

Technical Designer

Sophie has over eight years experience in the commercial interior design industry. She has worked predominantly on workplace projects in the North Island ranging from small to large budgets. Sophie has a passion for documentation and takes pride in producing high quality drawings for consent through to construction.

John Hayes
Senior Quantity Surveyor

John boasts over 35 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, working in commercial markets across Auckland, Melbourne and Dublin, and holds a NZ Certificate in Quantity Surveying. His proven track record includes work across a diverse range of sectors - office, retail, logistics and industrial, medical, and education. Outside of work, John is an avid football enthusiast and enjoys spending quality time with his wife, two teenage sons and energetic puppy.

Vala is a dedicated Quantity Surveyor with a decade of experience in driving successful construction projects and meeting budgets. She is passionate about connecting with fellow professionals in the construction industry and sharing valuable insights. Outside of work, Vala excels at playing badminton and immerses herself in the world of League of Legends, thoroughly enjoying both hobbies.
